International & Transfer Student Apartments Near CSU
Our student apartments in Fort Collins are fully furnished with custom-designed furniture packages, offering top-tier elegance throughout every room. What’s more, our open layout kitchen boasts stainless-steel appliances in each unit.
The Standard at Fort Collins is not your typical CSU off-campus housing — for the convenience of our residents, installment payments include cable, high-speed Internet, a furniture package, flat-screen TVs, pest control, and access to the wide range of resort-style community amenities specifically tailored to the needs and wants of students.
We recommend bringing items such as your personal belongings, clothes, bedding, toiletries, pots/pans/dishes/silverware, and any decorations! The major furniture/appliances will be in your apartment prior to move-in to make it super simple! Also, bring a Photo ID so that you can check in and receive your keys on move-in day!
Because we lease on a first-come, first-served basis and our availability can be minimal, we can offer a Non-Enrollment addendum. This means that you can sign your lease and secure your spot at our current rates. If you don’t get into CSU, all you need to do is send us proof that you weren’t accepted, and you can get out of your lease. For more information, please contact our leasing office today.
We offer several options to apply and sign up to live at The Standard at Fort Collins. Students can apply with a guarantor as long as they are at least 25 years old, have a U.S. Social Security Number, and pass a credit and income check. Students applying with a guarantor are required to pay a security deposit. If you do not have a qualifying guarantor there are three other ways to qualify.
- Self-Qualify: If you have a U.S. Social Security Number, make 3x your monthly base rent, and can pass a credit check, you may opt to Self-Qualify. All Self-Qualifying Applicants must provide proof of their income via 3 consecutive pay stubs and are required to pay a Security Deposit equal to 2 installments of the base rent.
- Guarantor Waiver Program (GWP): If you are a full-time student and do not have a qualifying guarantor, you may opt to use our GWP. You will need to send proof of Full-Time Enrollment and sign a Guarantor Waiver Program Addendum. GWP Applicants are required to pay an additional monthly fee of $118 and pay a $100 Security Deposit.
- International (I20): If you are an International Student who does not have a qualifying guarantor, you may apply with your I20. International applicants are required to pay a security deposit and send proof of their I20.
Note that all security deposits are refundable, pending your move-out inspection and any damages to your apartment.
While there is no set deadline, our availability and rates are first-come, first-served. The only way to secure a spot at The Standard at Fort Collins is by completing the application and lease in full. We recommend signing as soon as possible and are happy to help guide you through this process and answer any questions you may have.
Our apartments near CSU are located minutes away from the heart of campus and a number of popular local attractions, dining options, shopping, and more. From our community, residents can walk, bike, or drive to class without a hassle.
When you apply, there is an option to list your preferred roommates. Once approved, to confirm you will be living with your preferred roommates, each individual will register for RoomSync, our roommate matching program. From there, you can “sync up” on the app, which is what notifies our office that you want to live together.
We lease individually, by the bed, so you can sign your individual housing contract and lock in your spot as soon as you’re ready, regardless of your roommates! We cannot, however, hold spots for preferred roommates since we lease on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure you and any friends can live together, we recommend signing at the same time if possible.
We offer fully virtual leasing for your convenience, so you are not required to come in person! To get started, you’ll first hit the “apply now” button on our website! From there, you’ll fill out all seven steps of your non-binding application, submit (and pay any fees if applicable), and once your lease is generated, you will initial and sign all the documents to officially secure your spot. Depending on your application type/how you’re qualifying, there may be additional steps required prior to screening and lease approval.
